A newly released study from Niche.com determined the best school districts for 2020 by analyzing the “key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents” using data from the U.S. Department of Education.
Among the statistics that came into factor the rankings include state test scores, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, public school district ratings, and others, which were on a weighted scale.

- Jericho Union Free School District (second);
- Syosset Central School District (third);
- Herricks Union Free School District (fifth);
- Manhasset Union Free School District (seventh);
- East Williston Union Free School District (ninth);
- Roslyn Union Free School District (12th);
- Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District (15th);
- Port Washington Union Free School District (16th);
- Half Hollow Hills Central School District (21st);
- Hewlett-Woodmere Union Free School District (23rd);
- Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District (26th);
- Harborfields Central School District (30th);
- Three Village Central School District (31st);
- Garden City Union Free School District (33rd);
