Suspect At Large After 19-Year-Old Shot Inside Vehicle On Long Island Roadway

A teenager on Long Island was hospitalized after being shot in the neck while sitting in a vehicle overnight, police said.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4, Suffolk County police investigators said that a 19-year-old man from West Islip was in a vehicle on South 36th Street in Wyandanch when he was shot.

Police said that the man was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, while the shooting suspect fled the scene and is at large.

The incident remains under investigation.
