The woman, in her 40s or 50s, was found face down in Long Beach just before dawn by a jogger around 5:23 a.m., Friday, June 21, on the beach between Monroe and Lincoln boulevards, said Sgt. Brett Curtis, spokesman for the Long Beach Police Department.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Long Beach Fire Department. A cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner's Office.
