Man Slaps Long Island Home Depot Employee After Stealing $400 Worth Of Items, Police Say

A man has been accused of petit larceny and harassment after stealing merchandise from Home Depot on Long Island and slapping a store employee, police say.

Police are on the lookout for a man who allegedly stole $400 in various tools from Home Depot in Shirley and stapped an employee on Wednesday, Aug. 21 around 5:25 p.m.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers are on the lookout for a man, pictured above, who is suspected of stealing various tools valued at $400 from Home Depot in Shirley (399 Northbound William Floyd Parkway) on Wednesday, Aug. 21 around 5:25 p.m.

When leaving the store, the man was confronted by an employee, who police say he slapped before making his exit.
