A man has been accused of stealing merchandise from a Long Island retailer, police say.

Police are on the lookout for a man suspected of stealing a 6,500-watt generator from Lowe’s in Commack (100 North Service Road) on Wednesday, Sept. 3 around 8 p.m.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers are on the lookout for a man, pictured above, who is suspected of stealing a 6,500-watt generator from Lowe’s in Commack (100 North Service Road) on Wednesday, Sept. 3 around 8 p.m.

The generator is valued at approximately $800, according to police.
