Long Island Man, 32, Killed In Two-Car Crash

A 32-year-old Long Island man was killed in a two-car motor-vehicle crash on Long Island.

It happened at around 8:15 a.m. Friday in Central Islip, Suffolk County Police said.

Christopher Alexandre, of Central Islip, was driving a 2001 Saturn westbound on Motor Parkway when his car collided with a 2019 Nissan traveling eastbound at approximately 8:15 a.m., police said.

Alexandre was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Nissan, Eliberto Martinez, 49, of Central Islip, was transported to Southside Hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352
