Suffolk County Deputy Sheriffs arrested Mastic resident Daniel Styles, 49, at approximately 11:24 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14 after he was pulled over on Sunrise Highway near exit 50.

Police said that Styles proceeded to fail multiple Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, and he was arrested for violating the Child Passenger Protection Act (“Leandra’s Law”) when it was determined that he was allegedly driving while intoxicated with his 8-year-old son in the back seat following a child’s soccer game.

Police noted that the arrest was one of three DWI made over the weekend.

On Sunday, Sept. 15, at approximately 7:20 p.m., Brentwood resident Ricardo Ramos-Cedillos, 40, was arrested on the Southern State Parkway in Islip with a blood alcohol content of .19 percent - more than double the legal limit.

Later that night, Central Islip resident Lisa Morgan-Nesbitt, 44, was arrested after failing sobriety tests with a blood alcohol content of .14 percent.
