ID Released For 11-Year-Old Long Island Girl Killed In Crash

An 11-year-old Long Island girl who was killed during a two-vehicle crash in Greenport has been identified by police.

Amber Stulsky of Greenport, died following the 8:18 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 3, crash on North Road, said the Town of Southold Police.

Stulsky, who was a backseat passenger was taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital where she died from her injuries, police said.

According to  Southold Police, the crash took place when a 2004 Infinity was attempting to turn left onto westbound North Road from Chapel Lane when it collided with a 2003 Mercury Sable being driven by Amber's mother, Rachel Smith, 32, of Greenport.

The driver of the Infinity has not been charged, said Southold police. Information was not available on the condition of either driver.

Police said both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.

The investigation is continuing.
