Hicksville Teen, Bethpage Man Charged With DWI In Hudson Valley July 4th Holiday Stops

A teenager from Hicksville and a 30-year-old man from Bethpage were among more than two dozen motorists taken off the road for alleged impaired driving by New York State Police in the Hudson Valley over the July Fourth holiday weekend.

Between Thursday, July 4 and Monday, July 8, troopers arrested 28 motorists for DWI as part of a holiday enforcement detail.

New York State Police troopers from Brewster in Putnam County stopped 19-year-old Hicksville resident Alex Martinez on July 4 on Route 22 in Southeast for a vehicle and traffic violation. The investigation into Martinez determined that he was under the influence of alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.

On Sunday, July 7, troopers from Cortlandt in Westchester County arrested Alacon Trujillo, 30, of Bethpage for a DWI. He was traveling on Route 9 in Croton-on-Hudson when he was stopped. The investigation during the traffic stop found that he was allegedly intoxicated and he was arrested.
