The incident took place in Inwood around 12:50 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 5 on Burnside Avenue.
According to Nassau County detectives, officers on patrol spotted a 2021 Toyota failing to maintain its lane while traveling eastbound on Burnside Avenue.
Officers stopped the Toyota and during an investigation found a Glock-19 semi-automatic loaded firearm.
Two people in the vehicle, Catrina Taylor, age 42, of New York City, and Semaj Campbell, age 32, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania were both arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
The driver of the vehicle, a 32-year-old man, who was not identified, was issued multiple traffic tickets and released.
