The crash happened at around 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, on Hempstead Turnpike in Farmingdale.
Nassau County Police said the man was crossing the street just east of West Gate when he was struck by a 2014 Ford pickup truck.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said. His name has not yet been released.
The 57-year-old driver remained at the scene and his vehicle underwent brake and safety checks.
No criminal charges are expected, according to police.
