ID Released For Bicyclist Killed After Being Struck By SUV On Long Island

The identity of the bicyclist who was killed after being hit by a compact SUV on Long Island has been identified.

It happened at 6:50 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20 in Huntington Station.

The victim, now identified as Sean Siegel, 32, of Huntington Station, was struck by a 2015 Nissan Rogue traveling southbound on Route 110 at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike, Suffolk County Police said.

Siegel was transported to Huntington Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

The driver of the Nissan, Dominick Amorosa, 48, of East Northport, was not injured, according to police.

The Nissan was impounded for a safety check.
