Alert Issued For Missing 14-Year-Old Hempstead Girl

A 14-year-old girl has gone missing on Long Island and authorities are asking for the public's help in locating her.

Katherine Galdamez of Hempstead was last seen leaving her residence on Stewart Avenue at 3:45 p.m. Monday, June 17 with no known destination, according to Nassau County Police detectives.

She is described as being 5-foot-1, 130 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. She was wearing an orange T-Shirt, a black sweater, light blue jeans and red shoes at the time of her disappearance.

Detectives request anyone with information contact the Missing Persons squad at 516-573-7374 or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
