Long Island Volleyball Coach Rapes Young Player: Police

A 22-year-old man who coached two girl’s volleyball teams on Long Island has been arrested after he allegedly sexually assaulted a young player.

Jason Maser was arrested at his Syosset home on Thursday, March 22, according to Nassau County Police.

Maser worked as a volleyball coach for both Sacred Heart High School in Hempstead and B & B Volleyball in Albertson.

On two days in February and March, he is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl.

Maser is charged with:

  • Rape, two counts;
  • Criminal sexual act, two counts; and
  • Endangering the welfare of a child.

He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment and is next due at Hempstead’s First District Court on Monday, April 1.
