The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air duo sent fans into a frenzy after Smith posted a TikTok video of him and Ali recreating one of the most iconic dance scenes from the ‘90s sitcom.

Smith initially shared a clip as part of a viral trend inspired by a classic Fresh Prince moment: the scene where Will walks in on his cousin Ashley (Ali) dancing to music on her Walkman, then starts copying her moves behind her back. When she finally turns around, she finds him mid-dance battle, busting out some legendary moves of his own.

For weeks, TikTok users have been recreating the scene to Doechii’s song “Anxiety”, with one person grooving solo before another sneaks in to mimic their moves. Smith acknowledged the trend, posting the original Fresh Prince clip with the caption:

“I’ve been watching y’all and every video has been better than the last!! Love that track @Doechii.”

Then came the moment fans didn’t see coming: Smith and Ali brought the trend full circle.

In a now-viral TikTok posted Friday, March 14, Ali—rocking headphones—dances like nobody’s watching, just like she did in the ‘90s. Smith then slides into frame, mimicking her moves exactly as he did decades ago. But this time, there’s a twist: Doechii herself joins the duo, turning the nostalgic throwback into an epic trio dance-off.

“Waited 35 years for this dance to trend,” the 56-year-old Smith joked in the caption.

The internet lost it. The video had racked up over 215 million (you read the correctly) views by Monday, March 17, with over 110,000 comments, including one from TikTok itself: “Doechii is highkey the Fresh Princess.”

Other top comments included:

  • “Not Will Smith having the same facial expressions 30 years later.”
  • “Full circle moments I live for.”
  • “Officially won the trend.”

Born in North Bellmore, the 46-year-old Ali is best known for her role as Ashley Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which ran on NBC from 1990 to 1996. She has since appeared in numerous films and TV shows, including Jawbreaker, The Young and the Restless, and Glory Road

She lives in California with her English professor husband, Vaughn Rasberry, and their two sons.
