According to NewzParot, owner Benny DiPietro cited his age of 86 years and family illnesses as reasons for closing Benny's Ristorante.
Facebook page reviews describe great food and service.
"Food was excellent and the staff is wonderful. Loved the atmosphere. Made for a perfect date night, said a Facebook review from 2018.
Benny's has a four-star rating with 48 reviews On Yelp, one by Christopher S. of New Orleans which says, " service was impeccable" and stuffed sole "fantastic."
"Desserts were amazing and suitable for sharing. If this menu was presented in New York or Chicago, we could expect the bill to be far higher than what it is here at Benny's. If you like old school, high service, perfectly executed meals, this is your place," said the same reviewer.
A more recent one, from Feb. 14 simply says, "My favorite place...great food...great atmosphere...nothing bad to say."
