Lobster Roll, 1980 Montauk Highway, Amagansett: No lobster roll story would be complete without including the island's perfect lobster roll.

This world famous roadside restaurant with a beach, nautical vibe affectionately also called "Lunch" is also known for being where episodes of 'The Affair' have been filmed.

The star, of course, is the lobster roll Katie L. of New York City, on yelp calls "delicious, with generous amounts of succulent meat served with finger-lickin' good butter to drench the warm lobster in."

Pop's  Seafood Shack & Grill, 15 Railroad Place, Island Park: Warm Nova Scotia lobster served with clarified butter on a potato roll or "East Coast Lobster Roll" traditionally dressed on toasted butter potato roll are options here and the atmosphere is very chill.

Melissa V. of Westbury posted of Pop's: They have great live music and plenty of outdoor Adirondack chairs and a great view and picture opportunities. The food comes out quickly and it is all good food! The appetizer starter that we ordered came with more than enough food for the five people I went with. At the time we ordered fish and chips, lobster roll, and fish tacos. All great food and all worth the wait."

DJ's Clam Shack, 3255 Sunrise Highway, Wantagh: Main Lobster Rolls and Overstuffed Lobster Rolls are dished up here.

Serena Marie on Facebook said, "Love this place! Fresh seafood and great service with a smile. Reminiscent of my trip to Key West." Syliva Marcus on Facebook posted Best lobster rolls! New England clam chowder is outrageous. Most items are delicious. Worth a try!"

Kingston's Clam Bar, 130 Atlantic Ave., West Sayville: Located on a  marina here's where you'll find, "The best I ever had," someone told Daily Voice on Facebook.

"It really is," said another post.

We didn't have to dig deep to find a bunch of fans of this dockside establishment, open seasonally to serve lobster rolls and other seafood.

"Yes, we pull up right to the dock, tie up, then go inside and feast on the best lobster roll on Long Island," said a yelp review.

"We pull up right to the dock, tie up, then go inside and feast on the best lobster roll on Long Island," said Vito D. of Holtsville whose post had a picture of a boat tied to a moor.

Whales Tale Cafe, 81 Fort Salonga Road, Northport: Though technically it's not a "roll," several reviews mentioned the Lobster and Shrimp Reuben, a pulled shrimp and lobster sandwich, with pickled slaw, Swiss cheese, ketchup horseradish aioli on toasted pumpernickel dished up at this waterside restaurant.

A yelp reviewer, Samantha B., Long Island, N.Y., said, "The menu had an amazing selection and we tried to have a little of everything from the guacamole, a variety of tacos and the Lobster and Shrimp Reuben."
