Statewide Alert Issued For Missing NY Man Have you seen him? A statewide alert has been issued for a New York man who's gone missing. Edmund Zielinski, age 55, is 6-foot-4, 220 pounds with gray/dirty blond hair, according to New York State Police, who note that he has a scar on his throat from vertebrae surgery. He was last seen in the Genesee County town of Pembroke area but frequents other parts of the state, said police.  Police did not say how long he's been missing. Person Hospitalized After 2-Vehicle Long Island Crash A person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in Coram. A 47-year-old Coram man was riding a bicycle northbound on West Yaphank Road, south of Beach Lane, when he was struck by a northbound 2015 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 48-year-old woman. The bicyclist was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. Grace, The driver of the Sonata was not injured. Woman Attacked By Dog At Nassau County Home A woman is recovering after being attacked by a dog on Long Island. The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in Elmont. Nassau County Police officers responding to the Newburgh Street residence found the 81-year-old had suffered multiple lacerations to various parts of her body.  The victim was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment of her injuries. She is currently listed in stable condition.  The Nassau County Emergency Service Unit (ESU) responded and secured the animals. The investigation is ongoing.
