Expect Delays, Motorists: I-684 Lane Closures Planned For Saturday

Motorists are being advised that the left and center lanes on a stretch of southbound Interstate 684 will be closed on Saturday, April 1, while crews perform maintenance activities, weather permitting.

The lanes are scheduled to be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. between Exit 9 (I-84) in Putnam and Exit 8 (Hardscrabble Road) in North Salem.

Motorists should anticipate delays.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
