Route 17 Stretch Reopens After Crash Involving Overturned School Bus
Click here for an updated story: Pickup Truck Driver Cited In Route 17 Crash With School Bus In Sullivan A stretch of Route 17 has reopened after five students and two adults on a school bus were injured during a two-vehicle crash in which the school bus overturned. It happened around 7:45 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 20, in Sullivan County eastbound in Mamakating between the bus and a pickup truck, state police said. The injuries were reported as being minor. Route 17 was closed eastbound between Exits 112 and 113 in Mamakating for about two hours. The lanes reopened just before 10 a.m.

Saw Mill Parkway Stretch Reopens After Crash
This story has been updated. A section of the Saw Mill Parkway has reopened after a serious crash caused its closure for hours in Northern Westchester. The crash, on the southbound side, happened near Exit 42 (Route 117) in Bedford on Friday morning, Feb. 7. The roadway reopened around 9:30 a.m. During the closure, traffic was detoured off at Exit 42 to southbound Route 117 to Exit 39back onto the southbound Saw Mill River Parkway.

Route 9W Lane Closure Scheduled 'Until Further Notice,' State DOT Says
There will be a single-lane closure on Route 9W “until further notice” in the Hudson Valley to permit contracting crews to complete construction work in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert to area residents that beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, there will be a northbound lane closed on Route 9W in New Windsor for the foreseeable future. Truck Fire Causes I-84 Lane Closure
A stretch of I-84 has reopened after tractor-trailer fire. The fire started around 11:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 31 eastbound in Montgomery, said the New York State Police. There were no injuries but the highway was closed for a short time while the fire was extinguished, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Nevel said as of 12:30 p.m., only the one exit ramp lane at Exit 28 is still blocked. An investigation is underway into the cause of the fire.

A multi-car crash involving an overturned vehicle is causing stop-and-go delays on I-684. The northbound crash happened just before 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 at Exit 6A (Route 22/Route 138) in Goldens Bridge and is causing miles-long delays. Motorists traveling on Route 9A over the weekend may see temporary delays as crews perform maintenance work in Northern Westchester. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that one lane will be closed in both directions on Route 9A in Mount Pleasant in the area of Route 117 on Saturday, Dec. 21. There will be double lane closures for several days on the Taconic State Parkway for several days.
