Rash Of Car Break-Ins Under Investigation In Hudson Valley
Police are investigating following a rash of car break-ins and attempted break-ins in the region. The break-ins occurred in Dutchess County on Thursday, Oct. 24, and Friday, Oct. 25, on the following Poughkeepsie roadways: Main Street S. Hamilton Street Parker Avenue Catharine Street Franklin Street Civic Center Plaza. These incidents are currently under investigation. Poughkeepsie Police remind owners that vehicles should always be locked and secured. When not in use, all valuables should be removed from the vehicle, and no items of value (including loose change) should be visible.…

Know Him? Police Search For Suspect After Larcenies From Vehicles In Northern Westchester
Police in the Hudson Valley are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect accused in a series of car break-ins in Northern Westchester. Multiple vehicles were broken into early on Friday, July 15, in Yorktown, in the Shrub Oak and Mohegan Lake areas, according to Yorktown Police. Investigators released surveillance footage showing the suspect wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and an orange and red face mask. State Police Issue Warning After Three Vehicles Stolen From Area Town Over Weekend
New York State Police in the Hudson Valley are cautioning area homeowners to be on high alert after a trio of vehicles were stolen from area driveways over the weekend. On Tuesday, June 29, New York State Police from the Brewster barracks issued an alert to remind members of the community in Putnam County to lock their vehicles at night and not to leave keys inside before heading to bed. State Police Warn Of Uptick Of Vehicle Larcenies, Thefts From Gas Stations
New York State Police are again reminding motorists to lock their vehicles and to remove all valuables after a stolen vehicle was used in two larcenies. Trooper AJ Hicks said the department has seen an increase in the number of larcenies from vehicles over the past year and has recently investigated larcenies from vehicles left unattended at gas station pumps. New Warning On Thefts From Vehicles Issued In Carmel
The Carmel Police Department is cautioning homeowners to be on alert following reports of multiple thefts from cars. The department issued an alert over the weekend after receiving multiple reports of people stealing property from unlocked vehicles in neighborhoods near Drewville Road. Police said that they are “urging residents to lock all car doors,” and have requested that any homeowners who may have video surveillance of any suspicious suspects in the area to contact the department by calling (845) 628-1300.

Spike In Larcenies From Vehicles Reported In Northern Westchester
State Police from the Somers barracks are investigating an increased number of larcenies from vehicles in Westchester. These crimes are occurring in multiple Westchester residential neighborhoods and are facilitated by residents who leave valuables inside vehicles and fail to secure their vehicles, police said. State Police are advising advise residents to always lock their vehicles and never store valuable property in them.
