A man from Middletown is facing drug possession charges after a traffic stop on I-87, police say.
New York State Police say they stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the town of Woodbury for a traffic violation on Saturday, July 27 around 6:45 p.m.
The driver, identified as Luke Green, 52, of Godeffroy, was found to be intoxicated, police say.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of approximately two grams of powder cocaine and .4 grams of marijuana in the possession of the passenger, identified as Philip Munoz, 47, of Middletown.

New York State Police say they stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on I-87 in the town of Cornwall on Tuesday, May 14 around 9:30 p.m.
While interviewing the driver, identified as Matthew Nisbett, 36, of Brooklyn, probable cause to conduct a search was established, according to police.

Unlicensed Putnam Driver Charged With Resisting Arrest, Sheriff Says
An unlicensed driver became combative with deputies during a traffic stop, leading to his arrest, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
Two Sheriff’s deputies on patrol stopped Victor Lowell, 35, of Putnam Valley, shortly after 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, after he committed a traffic violation near the intersection of Oscawana Lake Road and Church Street in Putnam Valley.
During the stop, Putnam County Sheriff Robert Langley, Jr., said that Lowell repeatedly refused to provide the deputies his driver’s license, leading them to determine that he did not have a valid license.
