A man and a juvenile were nabbed after police responded to a suspicious vehicle call. The occupants allegedly removed items from a mailbox in front of a home. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 12:10 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8, in Tomkins Cove. According to Stony Point Police Lt. Daniel Schoales, responding officers located a vehicle matching the description on Mott Farm Road. Hudson Valley Man Charged After Firing Shotgun At Car Following Dispute
A Hudson Valley man was charged with menacing after allegedly firing a shotgun at a car following a dispute. The incident occurred in Rockland County in Tomkins Cove on Thursday, Feb. 15, on West Shore Drive. According to Lt. Daniel Schoales of the Stony Point Police, an investigation found that Matthew Hoyt, age 42, of Tomkins Cove, fired at least two rounds from a shotgun at a vehicle that was fleeing the scene after a dispute. Hudson Valley Man Accused Of Menacing With Billy Club, Gun
A 42-year-old Hudson Valley man was charged with criminal possession of a weapon after he allegedly threatened others with a billy club and a gun. Rockland County resident Dahaire Edwards, age 42, of Pomona, was arrested on Monday, Feb. 26. for an incident that took place on Thursday, Feb. 15 in Tomkins Cove. According to Lt. Greg Becker of the Stony Point Police, officers responded to a home for a dispute where they found that Edwards had allegedly "menacingly" brandished both a billy club and a handgun during the dispute. Deer Hits Bicyclist During Popular Road Race In Area
A woman suffered a broken arm and leg after being hit by a deer while participating in a popular road race in the area. Caroline Lepage, 48, of Quebec, was hit about 10 a.m., Sunday, May 19, while riding her bike northbound during the annual Gran Fondo Race on Route 9W near Boulderberg Road in Tomkins Cove, said Stony Point Police Lt.
