An I-87 traffic stop led to a felony charge for a 36-year-old woman who police say had more than one and a half pounds of marijuana in her vehicle. New York State Police say they stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the town of Woodbury after observing a driver commit a violation on Friday, August 2 around 12:15 a.m. The driver, identified as Dolores Huighuig, 36, of the Bronx, was interviewed and allegedly gave officers probable cause to conduct a search. A small drug deal almost turned deadly Wednesday when a drug dealer was stabbed three times after being attacked by the buyer who later stole his vehicle, according to police. Police Bust Motorist With Pound Of Pot During Putnam Traffic Stop
Officers from the Kent Police Department conducting a safety checkpoint busted a man for multiple drug charges after he was found to be in possession of more than a pound of marijuana. Officers conducting a traffic safety and inspection check on Ludingtonville Road at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Jan. 27 said that they observed a pick-up truck being driven by Apex, N.C. resident Peter Nanos, 22, which had several equipment violations.
