Metro-North Service Suspended As Snow Becomes Heavier During Nor'easter Metro-North trains will be temporarily suspending service as the rate of snowfall during the Nor'easter has become heavier, creating potential travel hazards. MTA officials announced that with major snow accumulation and high winds creating increasingly hazardous travel conditions, Metro-North will shut down service with the last trains departing Grand Central Terminal at approximately 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1. Metro-North Service Changes, Buses Scheduled During Danbury Branch Upgrades Buses will be replacing trains for some Metro-North riders in Fairfield County next week. The MTA announced that beginning on Monday, Oct. 1, through Friday, Oct. 5, crews will be making safety upgrades and improvements to the Danbury Metro-North Branch. In response, buses will be substituting for select, off-peak weekday trains. Northern Westchester Teen Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Crash A Northern Westchester teen motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash when he attempted to drive between two other vehicles on Route 7 in South Norwalk, according to the Connecticut State Police. Nathan Spiro, 19, of Bedford, lost control of his 2017 Yamaha R3 around 8 p.m. Monday while traveling south on Route 7 at a high rate of speed and attempted to drive between two other vehicles when one of the vehicles hit the rear of the motorcycle, sending Spiro into the roadway and the motorcycle into the left median.  The other drivers, who were not injured, included Jorge Rodriguez-Novascat…
