Dutchess County resident Christian Young, age 27, of Hyde Park, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 8, when Town of Poughkeepsie Police responded to the Shop Rite store located at 18 Winslow Gate Road around 6:30 p.m. According to Lieutenant Shannon Rodriguez, of the Town of Poughkeepsie Police, when officers arrived at the store they found a 27-year-old woman in the cafe area who had been stabbed in the abdomen. Andrea Whitney, 36, is wanted following an investigation that determined she was part of a group who stole more than 150 cases of beer from several local Shop-Rite stores over the course of several months. Man Nabbed In Town Of Poughkeepsie Shop Rite Robbery A 28-year-old man was arrested for robbery and assault after attacking a Shop Rite employee who attempted to stop him from stealing. Antonio Locket of Poughkeepsie was arrested around Friday, Aug. 10, after Town of Poughkeepsie officers responded to the Shop Rite at 1895 South Road for a report of a shoplifter, said Town of Poughkeepsie Lt. Brian Wagner. While officers were en route to the store it was reported that Locket had threatened an employee by brandishing a knife, Wagner said.
