Woman Killed In Three-Vehicle Crash
A woman was killed in an early morning three-vehicle crash in the area. The crash happened at around 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8 in Dutchess County, on Route 9G just north of West Market Street/Route 199 in the town of Red Hook. An initial investigation by state police shows Ulster County resident Dino J. Macaluso, age 54, of Saugerties, was operating a 2005 GM Envoy northbound on State Route 9G when he entered the southbound lane and struck two vehicles. Police Investigating Reported Attempted Abduction Of 12-Year-Old Boy In Area
Police are investigating a report of an attempted abduction involving a 12-year-old boy. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 5:48 p.m. when the victim told police that he was approached on East Market Street in Red Hook by a shorter white male, with gray facial hair and possibly gray hair, driving a blue Chevrolet pickup truck. According to Red Hook Police, the victim said he was walking westbound on East Market Street when the male pulled up next to him and said: "Hi, I know your father." Man With Revoked License Caught Riding Lawn Tractor Drunk, Sheriff Says
A man with his license revoked for a previous DWI was busted driving a lawn tractor down a Dutchess County highway, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Milan resident Joseph White, 53, was arrested shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, after a deputy sheriff on patrol on Route 199 in Milan found him operating a lawn tractor on the highway with an open alcoholic beverage in tow, Dutchess County Sheriff Lt.
