Christmas Lotto Cheer: Hudson Valley Player Hits $50K On Powerball
Yippee! A lucky Hudson Valley Powerball player has $50,000 to spend for Christmas after winning the third-place prize for the Wednesday, Dec. 18 game. New York Lottery officials said the ticket was sold at the Quick Chek store on Route 9W in Newburgh in Orange County. The winning numbers were 06-15-18-33-49 with a Powerball of 7. The unidentified player had to select four correct numbers and the Powerball to win the third prize. No word yet on who the winner is. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 11 p.m.

Hudson Valley Resident Wins $1 Million NY Lottery Scratch-Off Jackpot
A Hudson Valley resident has claimed a $1 million Lottery Scratch-off jackpot. Ulster County resident Michael West, of Milton, won the prize on a Cash Money scratch-off ticket, the New York Lottery announced. “You have no idea what it feels like to win the lottery,” West said. West purchased his winning ticket at Quick Chek on Route 9W in Newburgh. He opted to receive his prize as a one-time lump sum payment totaling $597,902 after required withholdings, the NY Lottery said. West said he plans to invest the winnings. 911 Call Leads To Felony DWI Charge For Red Hook Woman At Convenience Store
A 911 call led to the arrest of a 41-year-old woman for felony drunk driving after police found her inside her vehicle in a Quick Chek parking lot. Lisa D. Jackson of Red Hook was arrested after Ulster Police responded to the store on Ulster Avenue and found that she was driving under the influence and with a suspended license, Ulster police said. During the course of the arrest, Jackson refused to submit to a breath test, police said. She was charged with felony DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation, as well as several misdemeanors, including drinking alcohol in her vehicle. Jackson w…
