Putnam County Covid-19 Death Toll Reaches 60: New Rundown Of Cases By Town
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has now claimed the lives of 60 Putnam County residents, as the total number of cases topped 1,450 cases since mid-March.
On Day 94 of the pandemic, there were 22 new COVID-19 cases in Putnam, bringing the total to 1,451 positive cases since the outbreak began. Of those cases, 60 have resulted in the deaths of Putnam residents.
A total of 9,506 COVID-19 tests have been issued according to the Putnam County Department of Health, with 18 cases currently active. Nine COVID-19 patients remain at Putnam Hospital.

With 10 newly confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Putnam residents, the county total has now topped 1,400 since the outbreak began in mid-March.
In Putnam County, 8,064 residents have been tested, with 1,405 testing positive for the virus. The number of active cases is down to 21, while eight are still hospitalized for treatment of COVID-19.
Since the outbreak began, 1,383 COVID-19 patients have been treated and have resolved and cleared by health officials. Fifty-eight COVID-19-related deaths have been reported in Putnam residents.

There were 12 newly reported novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Putnam overnight, as the county total approaches 1,400 since the pandemic began.
In Putnam County, 7,017 residents have been tested, with 1,376 testing positive for the virus. There are currently 36 active COVID-19 cases, with five new cases added from the previous day's total.
There are currently 14 COVID-19 patients at Putnam Hospital, and the county is monitoring 36 active cases. 1,339 COVID-19 patients are no longer isolated or quarantined, according to the Department of Health.

On Saturday, Sept. 21, State Police from Stormville arrested Oscar G. Tapia, 36, of Mount Vernon, for DWI with two prior convictions within ten years, a felony. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of East Fishkill, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Electric service has been restored to approximately half the more than 74,000 customers of Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation impacted by Tuesday’s powerful severe storm system.
As of 7 a.m. Thursday, approximately 37,000 customers remained without electric service in more than 425 individual damage locations, following a damaging storm that brought severe winds to the region, hitting hardest in the southern portion of Central Hudson’s service area.
