A suspect has been apprehended in connection with a Northern Westchester hit-run that left a man dead, police announced.
The suspect, a resident of Newark, New Jersey whose name was not released, was arrested on Sunday, Dec. 31, and charged in connection with a fatal hit-run that happened in Croton-on-Hudson earlier in the day, Croton-on-Hudson Police announced on Tuesday, Jan, 2.

Police have identified a Westchester County resident as the second victim of a double-fatal crash on the New Jersey Turnpike last week.
Seyed Tarighati, age 69, of Yonkers, the driver, and his passenger, Robert Birnbaum, age 85, of Scarsdale, both died in the crash Friday, Aug. 19 during afternoon rush hour, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said.

Teen Admits To Stabbing Two Rockland Men On Jersey Shore, Prosecutor Says
A teenager has admitted to stabbing two Hudson Valley men on the Jersey Shore during a fight last year, authorities said.
Juwan Roman, age 18, of Newark, pleaded guilty on Thursday, May 13 to two counts of aggravated assault and weapons offenses, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
Roman's name was made public this week after he waived his right to juvenile status in Family Court.
Roman was 17 during the 2020 assault, but he voluntarily agreed to be prosecuted as an adult, the prosecutor said.

A man has been charged a man with manslaughter in connection with a high-speed chase that ended with a fatal crash in Orange County.
Luis Colon, 27, of Newark, New Jersey, was arrested on Monday, Dec. 7, and charged with manslaughter and unlaw fleeing a police officer, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
