A student at a high school in Westchester who overdosed after vaping what they believed to be marijuana was saved by a school nurse. The incident took place at New Rochelle High School on Monday, Jan. 9 when the nurse had to administer Narcan to save the life of the student after they vaped what they believed to be marijuana, said Superintendent of Schools Jonathan P. Suspect In Custody After Fatal Shooting Of Teen In Westchester
A former high school student in Westchester died after being shot multiple times by another teen who was taken into custody, police announced. Officers from the New Rochelle Police Department responded to the corner of 4th Street and Washington Avenue at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25, where there was a report of a shooting that had just taken place. One of Westchester’s largest high schools is set to reopen to students after being forced to close due to damage caused by flooding during Hurricane Ida. Some students and community members demonstrated and protested over arguments made by lawyers for a New York school district following their response to a lawsuit filed by a teen who alleges that she was raped and choked by a bully. Man Killed After Car Hits Pole In Fiery Westchester Crash
This story has been updated. One person was killed and another injured late Saturday night when a car burst into flames after crashing into a utility pole in Westchester. The crash occurred around 10 p.m. on Pinebrook Boulevard, a residential street just east of New Rochelle High School. The crash brought down power lines onto the vehicle.
