'Beacon Of Positivity': Hudson Valley Native, Former College Golfer Dies In Fiery Crash
A Pennsylvania family was mourning the death of a father and Hudson Valley native who was killed on the New Jersey Turnpike.
Colin Mahon of Newtown Square, PA, died in a chain-reaction crash in Cranbury, NJ, on Tuesday, Oct. 8, a New Jersey State Police spokesperson said. The father of three children was 40 years old, according to his obituary from Donohue Funeral Homes.
A GoFundMe page in Mahon's memory had raised more than $118,900 from at least 326 donations as of Monday, Oct. 14.

Fatal Crash: Northern Westchester Man ID'd After Slamming Into Toll Plaza Barrier
A Northern Westchester man died in a fiery crash that closed the New Jersey Turnpike Saturday morning, July 22, police said.
Henry Subin, age 77, of Katonah, was heading north in a Jeep Grand Cherokee when he struck the concrete barrier of the toll plaza, overturned, and became fully engulfed in flames around 9:45 a.m. in Carneys Point Township, located in southwestern New Jersey in Salem County.
The crash, near milepost 2.4 on the northbound side, closed toll lanes for four hours.
Subin was killed as a result. The crash remains under investigation.
Westchester Resident ID'd As Second Victim In Double-Fatal NJ Turnpike Rush-Hour Crash
Police have identified a Westchester County resident as the second victim of a double-fatal crash on the New Jersey Turnpike last week.
Seyed Tarighati, age 69, of Yonkers, the driver, and his passenger, Robert Birnbaum, age 85, of Scarsdale, both died in the crash Friday, Aug. 19 during afternoon rush hour, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said.
