Police Chase Starting In Newtown, Bridgeport Ends With Home Invasion A wild police chase that started in Newtown and continued through Bridgeport ended with a crash, a foot chase and a home invasion, according to Connecticut State Police. The incident began around 6:45 p.m. Monday when Troop A was notified by the Bridgeport and Newtown police departments that they were in pursuit of a 2014 white Honda Accord that was wanted for transporting firearms, state police said.
