Drivers should brace for delays, as a major $30 million construction project near a Hudson Valley high school is expected to impact traffic for nearly two years. Two men, including a Fairfield County resident, face charges after they were caught driving while intoxicated in the Hudson Valley as part of a Saint Patrick's Day enforcement detail, police announced. The two arrests were announced on Wednesday, March 20 by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, which conducted an increased drunk driving enforcement detail over Saint Patrick's Day weekend. Driver Rescued After Rollover Crash In Hudson Valley During Storm
Amid a wintry Nor'easter, first responders were tasked with rescuing a driver who became trapped in their vehicle as the result of a rollover at a Hudson Valley intersection. The rollover happened in Putnam County on Sunday, Jan. 7 around 7:30 a.m., when a vehicle overturned on its side in Carmel at the intersection of Hill and Dale Road (Route 44) and Fair Street (Route 60), according to the Carmel Fire Department. Upgrading Transmission Line In Putnam County
Following multiple large-scale storms that left thousands in the Hudson Valley without power in recent years, NYSEG announced that it is working to upgrade its transmission system in Putnam County to aid customers during future weather events. Carmel Man Faces Felony Charge After Operating Vehicle With 27 Separate Suspensions
A man with more than two dozen suspensions on his driver’s license is facing a felony charge after being stopped for a traffic infraction in Putnam County, the Sheriff’s Office announced. Members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit on patrol on Fair Street in Carmel on Thursday, Jan. 9, stopped a motorist near George Fischer Middle School.
