A former Westchester resident may spend the rest of his life in prison after being found guilty of fatally shooting a man in a taxicab more than a decade ago and attempting to flee the state to avoid arrest. Damon Scott has been sentenced to a term of 20 years to life in prison after he was found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of a Yonkers man in 2008 following a cold case investigation. Fugitive Wanted For Rape Of Child Nabbed By New York State Police
A 32-year-old man has been arrested by state police troopers on an outstanding warrant for assaulting and raping a minor. New York State Police troopers and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Livingston announced the arrest of Gary Montana, of Hudson in Columbia Couty who had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest in Pittsfield, Mass. Police said that Montana was wanted for indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14 and rape of a child with force, felonies. Suspect Nabbed In Brutal Robbery Of 62-Year-Old Woman In Hudson Valley
A 28-year-old man who was wanted for the brutal robbery of a 62-year-old Hudson Valley woman turned himself into police in North Carolina after a barrage of press and law enforcement officials highlighted his crime. Derick Hinton of Poughkeepsie turned himself into Fayetteville, N.C., police on Thursday and was arrested on a warrant by the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department for the July 11 robbery, said Det. A 16-year-old fugitive wanted for murder was arrested during a stop in the Hudson Valley, state police reported on Saturday, June 30.The teen was wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred in Lynn, Massachusetts on Monday, June 23. State Police developed information that Nathaniel Pagan was in the Orange County area on Thursday, June 28. Fugitive Teen In Westchester HS Stabbing Caught In Alabama
Following a four-month manhunt, FBI investigators have tracked down a 15-year-old suspect in Alabama allegedly involved in a stabbing in New Rochelle in January. At approximately 8:50 a.m. on Jan. 18, the New Rochelle Police Department received a call from security guards at the high school reporting that a stabbing had occurred at the school, and the suspect was seen on video fleeing the building, New Rochelle Police Capt.
