2-Car Crash Causes Injuries, Lane Closure At Mahopac Intersection A 2-car crash at a Putnam County intersection caused a brief road closure and resulted in injuries, fire crews said. The incident happened on Friday, Feb. 7 at around 3:30 p.m., when two vehicles collided at the intersection of Route 6 and Mount Hope Road in Mahopac, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.  One person involved in the crash was taken to a hospital for medical treatment, while the other refused transport.  The lanes from Route 6 to East Lake Boulevard were closed for around a half hour while the vehicles were removed from the road.

According to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department, the incident happened in Putnam County on Friday, April 26, just before 6:40 p.m., when a blaze began inside a unit at a condominium building in Mahopac on East Lake Boulevard. Man Barricades Himself Into Hudson Valley Apartment With Fake Handgun: Police A 23-year-old man was taken into custody after barricading himself in a Hudson Valley apartment with what appeared to be a handgun, police announced. The incident began in Putnam County on Monday, Feb. 19 around 10:20 p.m., when residents told authorities that they had seen a neighbor flash a black handgun in a threatening manner before fleeing to his apartment on East Lake Boulevard (Route 72) in Mahopac, according to Carmel Police.  Police soon arrived and established a perimeter around the apartment while also evacuating adjacent units.
