New Store, Deli Opens For Business In Hudson Valley
A new grocery store and deli is now open in the Hudson Valley. Anita's Grocery & Deli, located in Putnam County at 299 Peekskill Hollow Rd. in Putnam Valley, held its grand opening on Saturday, Feb. 17. In attendance at the celebration was Putnam County Legislator Bill Gouldman, who announced the store's opening on social media. "We wish them best wishes. Let's show our support for these Putnam Valley residents," Gouldman wrote in his post. The store offers a selection of American, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian food.

A family-run supermarket has expanded to a new location in Fairfield County. Caraluzzi’s Markets opened its new Danbury location at 102 Mill Plain Road earlier this month. The owners also operate locations in Bethel, Wilton, and Newtown, along with numerous wine and spirits stores. Car Crashes Into Newly-Opened Deli In Westchester
An investigation is underway after a car crashed into a deli that recently opened in Westchester. The incident happened just after 3 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 1 at The Horseman Deli on North Broadway in Sleepy Hollow. The deli had just opened for business in late April. Danbury Firefighters Cross Street To Battle Deli Fire
Danbury firefighters only had to walk across the street to fight a fire at a local deli after a person came into the station and told them the restaurant was on fire. The fire was discovered just before 5 p.m. Thursday when the person stopped in Engine Company 23 on Osborne Street and told them there was smoke coming from the Deli across the street at 2 Germantown Road, said Firefighter James Gagliardo, communications officer.
