The crash occurred on Thursday, Jan. 23, just before 4 p.m., on State Route 9G in Red Hook, according to the Red Hook Police Department. Officials announced that they were pushing back Opening Day at the amusement park for the 2022 season until Thursday, June 9 after previously saying it would be open in Rye in mid-May. Opening Day hours will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 9, with the park open only on weekends through Tuesday, June 21, at which point it will be open daily through September.
