A man who led police on a high-speed chase on several busy parkways in Westchester was caught after his vehicle suffered a flat tire, authorities said. The incident happened on Tuesday, April 18 around 9 a.m., when a Westchester County Police officer saw a black Mercedes driving at a high speed on the northbound Bronx River Parkway near the Cross County Parkway interchange. Suspect On Loose After Stealing Car With Child Inside In Westchester
This story has been updated. One of a parent's worst nightmares was realized when a running vehicle with a child still inside was stolen by a suspect in Westchester who now remains on the loose. The incident happened on Thursday, March 2 around 8:10 a.m., when police in Eastchester were notified that a vehicle with a child inside had been stolen while parked in the Green Knolls part of town. Westchester Police Chase May Be Linked To Rockland Road-Rage Shooting
Police say the shooting of a man in the face and back in Rockland may be related to a chase in Westchester that ended with a crash on the Bronx River Parkway. The initial shooting took place around 1:10 p.m., Friday, April 17, in Rockland County on West Burda Place in New City, said Clarkstown Police Officer Norman Peters.
