Hudson Valley Duo Charged With Felony DWI In Unrelated Incidents
Two men from the region were nabbed for alleged felony DWI in two separate incidents.
Dutchess County residents Christopher J. Duquette, age 66, of Hyde Park, and Nelson Acevedo, age 53, of Beekman, were both charged on Sunday, June 30, said Capt. John Watterson with the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
Duquette was charged after deputies responded to a one-car crash around 8:50 p.m. on Route 9 for a report of a collision, Watterson said.

Missing Local Woman Found Dead In Car Following Taconic Parkway Crash
A Hudson Valley woman who was reported missing by her family was located off the Taconic State Park in a small body of water, the victim of a car crash.
On Monday, Aug. 1, Orange County resident Katherine M. Garcia was reported missing to the state police by her family, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
Garcia, age 23, of New Windsor, was reportedly last seen by friends on the night of Saturday, July 30, at a residence in Dutchess County the town of Beekman, Hicks said.

A Hudson Valley faces up to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty in connection with a knifepoint theft of a car and a bank robbery.
Dutchess County resident Leonard Dolson, age 45, of Beekman, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, March 1 to the carjacking which took. place in March 2021, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler.
At the time that he pleaded guilty, Dolson admitted that on Friday, March 19, 2021, at about 3:15 p.m., he forcibly stole a car from the Save-A-Lot grocery store located at 97 Lake Street, in the City of Newburgh, the DA's Office said.

Sex Offender From Hudson Valley Charged With Failing To Report Address Change
A Level 3 sex offender from the Hudson Valley was busted for allegedly failing to report a change of address.
Othelia Vaturina, age 41, Beekman was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 28, by the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
According to Captain John Watterson, detectives recently received information that Vaturian, who is from Broome County, was currently living in Dutchess County.
An investigation found that Vaturina was currently living at the Pine Grove Motel in Beekman, and had been staying in Poughkeepsie as well, without making the required notification, Watterson said.

A man has been arrested for allegedly robbing an Orange County bank after a pursuit with state police.
Dutchess County resident Leonard Dolson, age 45, of Beekman, was arrested around 9:42 p.m., on Friday, March 19, after state police in Orange County assisted the Village of Goshen Police Department with a bank robbery on Main Street in the village of Goshen, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
