As the holiday season peaks, the Teamsters Union has initiated a significant strike against Amazon, targeting facilities in four states. This action is described as the largest labor movement in the company’s history.

A popular television personality from New York has died at the age of 53.
Jovita Moore was an anchor at WSB-TV, Channel 2, an ABC-affiliated station in Atlanta.
She had been diagnosed with incurable brain cancer after experiencing symptoms of disorientation and forgetfulness in April.
Moore died Thursday night, Oct. 28 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children, Shelby and Joshua, stepdaughter Lauren, and her mother, Yvonne.

The new comedy "Father Figures" has a Hudson Valley flavor.
A major section of the movie, starring Owen Wilson and Ed Helms is set in the City of Beacon. In the film, Wilson and Helms play twin brothers on a mission to find their father, who they believed to be dead. The movie, originally titled "Bastards," was released last Friday.
