New Rochelle Local Waterfront Program Wants Public Input
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The New Rochelle Local Waterfront Revitalization Program is holding a public workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 3. The City of New Rochelle needs public input to update the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program, which is a community-prepared plan that provides policy and land use recommendations for the city's waterfront. Local Landscape Photographer Displays Work At Valley Cottage Library
VALLEY COTTAGE, N.Y. -- The Valley Cottage Library will be displaying an exhibit called "From the Mountains to the River - Landscape Photography of the Hudson Valley" by local photographer Steve Aaron throughout February with an artist reception on Feb. 6. Aaron has been photographing landscapes of the Catskills, Shawangunks, and the Hudson Valley for many years. GREENWICH, Conn. --Community tickets for the sixth annual Greenwich Town Party at the Roger Sherman Baldwin Park will go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Car Narrowly Misses Slamming Into New Rochelle House
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- A car narrowly missed slamming into a house in New Rochelle last night, according to News 12. The driver was traveling on Palmer Avenue when he lost control at the corner of Stephenson Boulevard, News 12 Westchester said. The driver reported that the vehicle's gas pedal got stuck. NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The Barnard Early Childhood Center in New Rochelle is implementing the nationwide Reading Is Fundamental initiative, which relies heavily on parent and guardian involvement. Students were read to in small groups by parents and teachers. Boys & Girls Club Of Mount Vernon Prepares For Successful Year
MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- An increased budget for 2016 is allowing the Boys & Girls Club of Mount Vernon to begin the year with new programs and a new staff member. This year's budget of $800,000 means the Boys & Girls Club of Mount Vernon can launch a beautification project, and purchase a new 12-passenger van to expose club members to new cultural and educational opportunities.
