Lombardi joined the Crusaders two weeks before the 2014 season began and led the team to the Stamford city football championship a year after the Crusaders went winless.
The Crusaders' 7-4 record was good enough to win the city title, according to the Advocate.
Lombardi threw for almost 1,700 yards and 21 touchdowns last year.
