A settlement was approved 8-0 by the Putnam County Board of Legislators at a recent meeting.
Improvements will include adding handicap parking spaces, making changes to pathways, widening the door to the patio and renovating the men's and women's bathrooms. The work must be finished by June 30, 2018.
Legislator Dini LoBue said she believes the renovations will cost $250,000. The county is also paying the legal fees of Westchester Disabled On The Move, totaling $17,500.
"This is something I'm glad came to our attention. In these modern times, we have to make sure our buildings are up to date," Legislator Carl Albano said.
