If the presidential election were today, who would you vote for?
- Hillary Clinton (Democratic Party)
- Donald Trump (Republican Party)
- Gary Johnson (Libertarian Party)
- I'd write in a candidate
- I wouldn't vote
Comey, at the televised press conference, argued that no reasonable prosecutor would bring charges forward.
The probe was into whether or not Clinton, who lives in Chappaqua and is the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, mishandled classified information.
Comey announced that some data was marked classified at the time that it was shared while some were later "up-classified" in status.
Even if the data wasn't labeled as classified at the time in which it was shared, Comey, a Yonkers native, added that Clinton should have known it to be as such.
While Clinton may not face a criminal indictment, Comey was scathing in his assessment calling the former secretary's conduct "extremely careless."
The decision on whether to indict Clinton will formally be decided by Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who, according to published reports, expressed deference towards the FBI's recommendations after recently coming under criticism for briefly speaking with Clinton's husband, former President Bill Clinton, at an airport.
