Putnam Valley Man, Carmel Woman Arrested After Domestic Dispute

PUTNAM VALLEY, N.Y. -- New York State Police charged a Putnam Valley man and a Carmel woman following a domestic dispute on Monday, officials said.

Patrick Vasi Jr., 24, and Elizabeth Kornak, 24, were both arrested after Vasi allegedly violated an order of protection and entered the victim's residence with Kornak, police said.

Vasi was charged with one count of first-degree criminal contempt while Kornak was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and possession of marijuana, police said.

Vasi was remanded to Putnam County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail or $100,000 bond while Kornak was held on $1,000 bail or $2,000 bond, police said.

Both are scheduled to appear in Putnam County Court on Tuesday, Oct. 28, police said.
