The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. when Frederick Bock, 70, of Putnam Valley was traveling eastbound on Peekskill Hollow Road and swerved to avoid tree branches, said Capt. William McNamara.
While swerving, Bock lost control and hit the guardrail on the westbound side of the roadway, he added.
He was airlifted by LifeNet to Westchester Medical Center where he remained in critical, but stable condition on Tuesday, McNamara added.
