New York State Police troopers on patrol stopped Brewster resident Alfred Dajanaj on Saturday, Feb. 17 while he was driving on Route 22 in Southeast for a vehicle and traffic violation.
During the subsequent stop, it was determined that Dajanaj was under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. He was later released to a sober third-party.
It was deja vu two days later on Monday, Feb. 19, when Dajanaj was again stopped by troopers on Route 22 in Southeast for a violation and was subsequently arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence.
Dajanaj was charged with DWI arraigned in Southeast Justice Court. He is due back in court later this year to answer the charges.
