The arrest came about as a result of a traffic stop for a speeding violation around 10:40 p.m., according to officials.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Jared K. Singer, was found to be intoxicated, police report.
The suspect was transported and processed at State Police barracks in Tarrytown, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.10 percent, according to officials.The legal limit is 0.08.
It was also determined that he has a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years, police report.
Singer has been charged with aggravated DWI, a class E felony, along with numerous vehicle and traffic violations, according to officials.
The suspect was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the City of Yonkers Court on Friday, Sept. 16, police report.
