About 11:35 p.m. Christmas Eve, officials had to use the Jaws of Life to extract a driver who had hit a tree on Route 9 near Oak Hollow and Watergrass Lane.

About 3 p.m. Saturday, Garrison emergency officials, including advanced life support paramedics, helped a hiker who was injured on the Moneyhole Mountain Trail near Indian Brook Road and Dennytown Road.
